This Cookie Policy explains how Paremson OÜ (“Tripwala”) uses cookies and similar technologies on tripwala.io (the “Platform”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar browser storage (such as localStorage) to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. Cookies can be set by us (first-party) or by third parties whose services we use.

When you first visit the Platform, we show a cookie banner. Analytics cookies are disabled by default and are only set after you select “Accept”. We use Google Consent Mode, so no analytics storage is used until you consent. If you select “Decline”, we do not set analytics cookies. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent because the Platform cannot function without them.

Your choice is remembered on your device. You can change your mind at any time by clearing the Tripwala site data in your browser (which removes the stored choice and shows the banner again) or by adjusting your browser cookie settings. You can also withdraw consent to marketing emails via the unsubscribe link in any newsletter.

Authentication / session: keeps you securely signed in and maintains your session as you move around the Platform. Without these, you could not log in or book.
Consent preference: a small entry that records your cookie choice so we do not ask you on every visit.

Analytics (only with your consent)

Google Analytics 4 (provider: Google Ireland Ltd) sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_<id> to measure how the Platform is used (pages viewed, general location, and events such as viewing a trip or starting a booking), so we can improve it. These cookies typically last up to 2 years and are only set after you accept. We do not use analytics data to identify you personally, and we do not use advertising cookies.
PostHog (provider: PostHog, Inc.) sets analytics storage to measure product usage and conversion funnels, only after you accept. Requests are routed through our own domain. PostHog stays disabled until you consent.

4. Third-party cookies

Analytics cookies are provided by Google; see Google’s privacy information at policies.google.com/privacy. If you open the external calendar we use for discovery calls, Google may set its own cookies on that third-party page under Google’s terms.

5. Managing cookies in your browser
