About
Tripwala exists for a simple shift: travel that starts with community - not a catalogue.

My side of the story
The places are amazing, but the people are everything.
I've spent my adult life on every side of travel - backpacker, group traveller, tour leader, trip planner. Somewhere along the way, that truth became impossible to ignore.
I think travel is shifting from destination-first to community-first. More people want to go with others they trust, relate to, or already follow online.
Tripwala is built for that shift.
The opportunity
People are no longer looking for generic trips. They want experiences that feel personal - with people they already trust, follow, or share interests with.
At the same time, creators are looking for monetisation beyond brand deals, and audiences are looking for ways to connect offline. Travel sits right at the intersection of both.
Tripwala gives creators the infrastructure to turn community into real-world experiences.
How we see it

Travel is becoming community-led
People no longer want generic trips built for everyone. They want experiences that feel personal - with people they already trust, follow, or share something in common with.
Travel is shifting from destination-first to community-first.

Creators already have the trust
Brand deals are getting harder to land, and algorithm reach is becoming less reliable. But creators still have something incredibly valuable: communities that trust them.
Their audiences don't just want content. They want real experiences, real access, and real connection.

Hosting trips is still too hard
Running a trip means handling logistics, payments, operations, suppliers, support - all the complexity behind the scenes.
That's why most creators who could host incredible trips never do. The demand is there - but the infrastructure isn't.

For hosts
If you already have people who would travel with you, you shouldn't need a tour operator's office to make it real. We built Tripwala so you can focus on the experience - not the spreadsheet.
